Dr. Eric A Cohn

Dr. Eric A. Cohn is a board-certified ophthalmologist practicing in Central Florida for over 20 years.

He received his fellowship training in glaucoma at Houston Eye Associates and the University of Texas. He first obtained his medical degree at the University of Health Science College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. This was followed by a rotating internship at Chicago Osteopathic Hospital and his residency in ophthalmology at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center from 1985-1988. Dr. Cohn is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Cohn specializes in glaucoma treatment. In addition, he provides general ophthalmic care.

Dr. Mathew George

Dr. George was awarded the best outgoing Marvis Sears Award for Excellence in Ophthalmology in 2011 by the Yale Department of Ophthalmology.

Dr. George completed his basic training in general Ophthalmology at the premier Christian Medical College, Vellore, India. After two years of clinical research at Yale-New Haven Hospital, he was accepted into a clinical residency training program in Ophthalmology at Yale. He went on to complete his fellowship training in medical retina and uveitis at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Miami, followed by a year of medical and surgical glaucoma fellowship training at Tulane University, New Orleans. Dr. George performs sutureless cataract surgery with advanced intraocular lenses and various types of conventional & newer glaucoma lasers and surgeries that include Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgeries (MIGS). He moved to the central Florida area with his wife, a pediatrician, to join the Sakowitz Eye Center in August 2013.

He completed his fellowship training at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. He has extensive experience in LASIK, as well as cataract surgery. He received his medical training in ophthalmology at the University of Florida College of Medicine, and performed his residency at Drew University in California.

Dr. Perez was the recipient of the prestigious Roy Wilson Resident of the Year Award.

He has been active in numerous community service organizations and is fluent in Spanish.

He received his Doctorate in Medicine from Indiana University in 2002. Dr. Cole then completed his residency in ophthalmology at Indiana University Hospitals in Indianapolis, Indiana in 2006. Dr. Cole has been performing cataract surgery in private practice since 2006 and has experience with both standard and specialty lens implantation. In addition to cataract surgery, as a comprehensive ophthalmologist, Dr. Cole is also available for glaucoma, dry eye disease, macular degeneration, and routine diabetic eye examinations. Dr. Cole is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
