Dr. George completed his basic training in general Ophthalmology at the premier Christian Medical College, Vellore, India. After two years of clinical research at Yale-New Haven Hospital, he was accepted into a clinical residency training program in Ophthalmology at Yale. He went on to complete his fellowship training in medical retina and uveitis at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Miami, followed by a year of medical and surgical glaucoma fellowship training at Tulane University, New Orleans. Dr. George performs sutureless cataract surgery with advanced intraocular lenses and various types of conventional & newer glaucoma lasers and surgeries that include Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgeries (MIGS). Dr. George was awarded the best outgoing Marvis Sears Award for Excellence in Ophthalmology in 2011 by the Yale Department of Ophthalmology. He moved to the central Florida area with his wife, a pediatrician, to join the Sakowitz Eye Center in August 2013.
